Run quotes face to face from a dedicated In-Person area, with clearer contact addresses. The Residential Battery Quote Tool rolls out the new journey, Recommendations, and animated typical-day energy charts on solar and battery savings.

In-Person opens from the Installer Portal sidebar in a new tab so you can find a contact, open their quote types, and run the same quote tools in a focused layout without the main sidebar. Add and edit contact addresses with the same address card used elsewhere: multiple addresses, a clear primary, and lookup or manual entry where your account allows it. Contact breadcrumbs show the person’s name instead of an internal id.

The Residential Battery Quote Tool uses the new step-by-step journey for every account. Your customer sees tariff and battery-size recommendations, clearer electricity bill and tariff steps, and illustrative “why a battery” examples before they choose a package. Solar, commercial solar, and battery savings sections can play through a typical day with animated energy flows. AI helpers that analyse text or files in the Installer Portal work again after a model update.

New

In-Person — From the sidebar, open In-Person in a new tab to search or create a contact, open their hub, pick a quote type, and create or edit quotes with the same editors as hosted quote tools. Breadcrumbs stay inside the flow until you return to the main portal.

Residential Battery Quote Tool — Recommendations step — After the electricity bill step, your customer gets a recommended battery size and future tariff with an estimated annual saving, a short explanation of how it was calculated, and an optional comparison of the top tariffs. They confirm this step before choosing hardware packages. The printable quote includes a Recommendations page.

Why a battery — When a recommendation is ready, an illustrative section above Recommendations explains self-consumption and/or charging on cheap rates, without using your customer’s exact figures.

Typical-day energy flow playback — On residential solar, commercial solar, and residential battery savings (and battery before/after proposal blocks), Where your energy comes from can play half-hour by half-hour through a typical day, with sunrise and sunset, tariff bands where relevant, and battery charge when a battery is in the quote. Playback is for on-screen quotes only, not PDFs or printouts.

Improved

Contact addresses — On Add contact and Edit contact, addresses use the shared address card: add several addresses, set which is primary, and remove a row. Primary controls sit below the card when you have more than one address.

Contact breadcrumbs — Contact detail and In-Person routes show the contact’s name (and email where shown) in breadcrumbs instead of an internal reference.

Residential Battery Quote Tool — bill and tariff steps — Electricity bill and your new tariff steps follow the same patterns as solar quotes, including stacked layouts on small screens and a half-hour editor for time-of-use bands with a preview chart.

Residential Battery Quote Tool — choose step — The backup gateway preference is removed; the full package list is shown with storage and sort controls only.

Residential Battery Quote Tool — rollout — Turn the new journey on or off from Overview → Residential battery quote on each Web App; the old environment switch is no longer used.

Recommendations card — The previous table layout is replaced by a clear headline recommendation, a one-line modelling summary, and an expandable top-five tariff comparison with saving bars.

Savings charts — Before- and after-solar typical-day bar charts on the same page both render correctly again.

Fixed

AI analyse actions in the Installer Portal — Extract BOM from text, hardware AI import, bulk pricing AI import, Open Solar copy assist, and package auto-generate succeed again instead of returning a model error.

No-EPC heat pump and boiler quotes use the same building lookup as solar, so house details and heat-loss sizing can reflect age, floors, and flats more accurately.

When your customer does not have an EPC, heat pump and boiler quote tools now fill house details from the same building data source used for solar. You may see different floor counts, building age, and heat-loss sizing on some addresses, especially flats and older properties.

Improved

Heat pump and boiler quote tools. If there is no EPC, building outline on the map and the starting house details come from Ordnance Survey building data shared with the residential solar quote tool, including a six-month cache per property so repeat quotes on the same address do not repeat the lookup charge.

House details without an EPC. Connectivity, number of floors, building age bands, and residential unit count from that data seed the house-details step when available, instead of generic geometry guesses alone.

Flats. Properties classified as flats are treated as a single-storey unit for no-EPC house details so heat loss is not sized from the whole block.

Heat pump quote tool. The control for choosing whether your customer has an EPC uses clearer emphasis on the selected option.

Time-of-use battery quotes on Octopus Flux fill and discharge more realistically on typical-day charts and annual savings. Headline stats and the monthly breakdown show even when export revenue is zero.

Battery quotes on Octopus Flux and other time-of-use tariffs model grid charging and evening arbitrage more closely to how those tariffs work, so typical-day charts and annual savings update when you save or rebuild the quote. When export income is zero, you still see headline savings and the monthly breakdown alongside the arbitrage table.

Improved

Octopus Flux and time-of-use battery quotes — Grid charging is sized from cheap-rate half-hours (up to battery capacity). Stored energy is used for arbitrage discharge only when import would cost more than the cheap rate, including large batteries and Go overnight windows. Typical-day shapes and annual £ figures change the next time you save the quote or rebuild its insight.

Savings overview with no export — Headline savings stat cards and the monthly breakdown table appear when export revenue is zero, for example minimal solar with no export.

Your customer's quote no longer says return on investment or ROI. That step is Savings over time. The year-one percentage is Year 1 savings rate. On the same savings step, the top card is Headline savings, so it reads separately from the before and after sections.

Improved

Savings over time. Residential solar, commercial solar, and battery quotes, plus new proposals, use this name instead of return on investment. The battery step that said Payback uses it too. What your customer sees.

Headline savings. The card with bill reduction, export, and first year savings has that title, so it is distinct from Before solar and After solar on the same step.

Instant quotes and proposals use Settings for contact, address, and project linking. Pricing models can add Product surcharges on catalogue lines. Residential and commercial solar quotes ask for annual consumption first on the electricity bill step, with a quick cost check and clearer rules when EV or heating loads exceed the total.

New

Product surcharges in pricing models. Add a Product surcharges block (on its own or inside a cost group). Each row picks a catalogue product and adds either a fixed amount per unit or a percentage of that product’s catalogue cost × quantity. Optional conditions skip the block when they are not met. Simulation and live quotes show manufacturer and product name on each surcharge line.

Open it for contact details, address, and to link or clear a project. The linked project appears as soon as you open the editor.

Electricity bill on solar quotes. Annual consumption comes first, with clearer residential copy. After you enter a unit rate or annual cost, an info box shows the implied p/kWh or £/year and warns if the rate looks unusually high compared with your account defaults. Standing charge sits below that insight. If EV or heating kWh overrides would exceed the stated annual total, you see an error and cannot continue until the figures match — the tool no longer reduces the total for you when those loads change.

Residential Solar Quote Tool. A new quote starts on the address and pin, then When you use power, Electricity bill, Roof, Solar output, Hardware packages, Tariffs, Savings, Return on investment, Add-ons (when you have extras), and Summary. Annual generation follows the MCS irradiance tables unless you change that under Defaults. On When you use power, your customer can say if they charge a vehicle at home and how they heat with electricity, and those loads are added to the bill and placed on the hours they actually happen. Settings: Residential Solar Quote Tool. The journey: What your customer sees.

Older solar quotes. A quote that had already reached hardware packages can still choose a package, change extras, and be accepted. Earlier quotes ask your customer to start again on the current tool. Very old solar links still show the saved design. You can no longer edit those older quotes in place, and you cannot turn one into a new proposal. Proposals that already exist still open.

Proposals from the current solar quotes. A new residential quote, and a commercial solar quote, can be turned into a proposal that includes how energy is used, the tariffs, the savings, and the return on investment.

Projects and My Tasks. Both sit in the sidebar, marked Beta. Sales Pipeline is no longer a group: Instant Quotes, Pricing Calcs, Proposals, and Enquiries sit on their own. Project types are under Settings → Project Management → Project types. A quote or proposal can belong to a project. You can leave comments on a project, quote, proposal, or task. On a project type you can turn on a customer journey; your customer then sees Projects in the Customer Portal as a read-only timeline.

More than one way to accept. On a quote tool's Acceptance tab, and on a proposal acceptance block, Add another option adds up to three paths (for example a survey and a purchase). Your customer completes one. A single path looks the same as today.

Explainers. On each quote tool, the Explainers tab (after Custom blocks) can attach a title, text, and video to a step. Your customer opens it from Learn more. You can also open it automatically the first time they reach that step.

Roof editor. After you draw a roof, the tool asks for pitch and roof material. You can mark a roof as flat, and flat roofs show a frame under the panels. Set roof direction sets which way the roof faces. The modes are Quick-draw, Approximate, and Installer.

Custom blocks. Header, footer, and Why choose us content that used to live in the solar layout now sits on Custom blocks. The Layout tab is gone.

Savings. The before-solar figure is labelled Cost before solar on residential and commercial solar.

Solar quote PDF. A residential or commercial solar quote PDF is one page per section of the quote, including the roof and the savings charts.

Listings and settings. Tables open on 50 rows. The settings group is named Hardware, Packages & Pricing. Protect prices is on Overview and Content for both solar quote tools. Web Apps no longer lists the same hosted address twice.

Octopus rates on solar quotes. Import and export prices now use the current direct-debit rate. Some tariffs, including Flexible Octopus and the outgoing export tariffs, were using an older rate or the non-direct-debit price. Time-of-use tariffs use the current band prices rather than an average of older ones.

You can add a Footer business details block to proposals and to the heat pump, boiler, air con, battery, and commercial solar quote tools. It shows your logo and the contact methods you already set in Business details. Coverage areas decline an out-of-area address on those start pages again, before a quote is created.

New

A Footer business details block. In the proposal block chooser, and on Custom blocks for those five quote tools, add Footer business details. It pulls your logo and primary customer contact methods from Business details — there is no extra contact setup on the block. New blocks default to light; you can switch to dark. Optional markdown sits above the logo. If you have set a business name, address, or company registration text, those appear as a muted line under the contact methods. The block stays off the proposal table of contents. Heat pump, boiler, air con, battery, and commercial solar tools also receive one under Below all sections, which you can edit or remove. Settings: Heat Pump, Boiler, Air Con, Battery.

Page-level custom blocks on the Commercial Solar Quote Tool. Custom blocks now has Above all sections, Below all sections, and Footer, matching the other single-page tools.

Boiler Quote on Quote Launchpad. In Widget Studio, a launchpad's Quote Type can be Boiler Quote. Entering an address starts the Boiler Quote Tool. See Widget Studio.

Improved

Need Help? on the start page shows the same legal line. On heat pump, boiler, air con, battery, and commercial solar start pages, the Need Help? sidebar repeats the business name, address, and company registration text from Business details under the contact methods, when those fields are set.

Moving the pin on an air con quote updates package prices. If you use distance in your pricing, changing the address or pin after rooms are confirmed refreshes the packages rather than keeping the old figures.

Fixed

Coverage areas apply on the single-page start again. Heat pump, boiler, air con, battery, and commercial solar — hosted and when you create a quote yourself — decline an address outside the areas you drew in Business details. No quote is created. If you have not drawn a coverage area, every address is still accepted. Solar and Quote Launchpad were already doing this.

Address-completed notifications fire when those quotes are created. On the single-page tools the address and pin are saved when the quote is created, so the address-completed email and webhook were skipped on the happy path. They send again at create. Changing the address or pin later still sends them once more.

Creating a widget shows the type you picked. Changing Choose widget type updates the label immediately, instead of leaving the previous type on screen.

Those four quote tools now work like commercial solar — one page of cards and a matching PDF — plus Spruce Eco multi-design proposals and your own air con room sizes.

The Heat Pump, Boiler, Air Con, and Battery Quote Tools now work the same way as the Commercial Solar Quote Tool. Your customer starts with an address, confirms each section on one scrolling page, and keeps a PDF that matches what they saw. The Solar Quote Tool is unchanged. You can also import more than one Spruce Eco design onto a proposal, and set your own room sizes on the Air Con Quote Tool.

New

One scrolling page for heat pump, boiler, air con, and battery. Hosted customers land on a start page, and the quote is created when they confirm the pin. Each section is a card they confirm in turn. Changing an earlier confirmed section unlocks later ones, so leftover answers cannot keep driving the price. The PDF is one A4 page per live card, in the same order as the accepted quote. Walkthroughs: Build a heat pump quote, Build a boiler quote, Build an air con quote, Build a battery quote. What your customer sees lists every section.

A Custom blocks tab on those four tools. Header, footer, and per-step content now live there. The Layout tab is gone from those tools; it remains on the Solar Quote Tool. Block types include Markdown, HTML, Video, and Why choose us. Settings: Heat Pump, Boiler, Air Con, Battery.

A Why choose us block in proposals. The same card list — title, description, and optional image per card — is available in the proposal block chooser, not only on quote tools.

More than one Spruce Eco design on a proposal. When a job has several live designs, the Spruce Eco wizard lets you pick which to import. Two or more become System options (Option A, Option B, and so on). Heat-loss and system design follow the option your customer chooses. Option A is selected when the proposal opens.

Your own air con room sizes. On Defaults, the room-size dropdown is a list you edit: each row has a Label and a Size (m²) used in the cooling-load calculation. Quotes store the square metres, so changing a band later does not rewrite old quotes. See Air Con Quote Tool settings.

A multi-split combination ratio. Maximum connected indoor capacity (%) on Defaults (default 100%) lets a multi-split outdoor carry more indoor capacity than its rated kW when the range allows it. A hardware package can override this. It only applies when one outdoor serves two or more indoors. See Hardware packages.

Improved

Creating a quote from Instant Quotes asks for the address first. For heat pump, boiler, air con, and battery, Create opens a New page. The quote is written only when you confirm the pin — the same as commercial solar, and the same as your customer. The Solar Quote Tool still creates immediately. See Quoting on a customer's behalf.

Hide package, Customise package, and View pricing calculation are back on the package cards when you are quoting on a customer's behalf. Your customer does not see those controls.

Search on lists now filters, and the sort you picked still orders the rows. Searching proposals, quotes, contacts, enquiries, service plan agreements, and templates by name, phone, or the start of an id returns matching rows rather than a ranked mix. Pasting a full id finds that row.

Customising a package locks the sections above hardware packages, so changing an earlier answer cannot rebuild the customised offer. Hardware packages and later sections stay editable.

Package cards show the product images you uploaded when dynamic composite images are turned off.

Fixed

Customising a boiler package now updates the card. Changing the boiler product or the override price saved, then the card showed the original products and price. The card now shows what you set.

GoHighLevel now creates the contact and opportunity when the property address is in England, Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland. Those addresses were being sent with a country name GoHighLevel rejected.

The package type dropdown shows the type you picked when you create a hardware package, instead of staying on Solar Package.

Proposals can carry more than one payment schedule, picked by the finance option your customer chooses, contacts now hold as many addresses as you need, and saving a catalogue product no longer overwrites a colleague's work.

A proposal can now carry more than one payment schedule, so the deposit and the stage split can differ depending on which finance option your customer picks. Contacts hold as many addresses as you need, each with its own map pin. The Hardware Catalogue has been rebuilt underneath: two people can work in it at the same time without overwriting each other, and deleting or archiving anything now tells you what it is used in before it goes. Two fixes are worth knowing about: the Savings step in the Heat Pump Quote Tool could fail for your customer on some accounts, and turning off a package price override did not put the calculated price back.

New

A payment schedule for each finance option. Manage payment schedules on a proposal is now a list rather than a single schedule. Add payment schedule creates another, tied to one finance option, with its own deposit and stages. The Applies to column shows which finance option each covers, or Default for the one used by cash and by any finance option without a schedule of its own. Every schedule needs a name, which only you see. Your existing schedule carries over as the default, named My Payment Schedule, with its stages unchanged.

Your customer's finance choice picks the schedule. Choosing a finance option on the proposal switches the payment stages they see; choosing one with no schedule of its own falls back to the default. Where Use deposit from payment schedule is turned on, the deposit taken at acceptance — including the amount charged through Stripe — follows the same schedule, as does the proposal PDF. Remove a finance option that had its own schedule and that schedule stays in the list, flagged in amber as Unknown finance option, because nothing can reach it any more.

Several addresses on a contact. Open a contact, click Edit Details, and an Addresses section lets you add as many as you need. Each one can be a postcode lookup or typed in by hand. Set as primary marks the one shown on the contact card, and removing the primary promotes another so a contact with addresses always has one. See Contacts.

An exact pin on any address. Set pin opens a map you drag until the marker sits over the property, which is worth doing where the postcode lands on the wrong side of a lane or a large site. A pin shows as a small map on the address, and Remove pin clears it without touching the address.

A handbook to go with this changelog. The pages describing how to set your account up and run it day to day are now published alongside these release notes. Start at the introduction.

Improved

The Hardware Catalogue loads a page at a time. Search, filters, sort and paging are handled as you use them rather than by loading every product up front, so a catalogue with several hundred products opens quickly. What you have searched and filtered is held in the address bar, so a filtered view can be bookmarked or sent to a colleague.

Export to CSV covers everything you have filtered to, not just the page on screen. With no filters applied you get the whole catalogue. The confirmation says which of the two you are about to get.

Deleting or archiving shows you the damage first. Removing a product, package, extra, finance option or pricing model that is used elsewhere opens a table of what it is used in and what will happen to each. Where the changes are safe, Continue applies them and unlinks the references. Where they are not — the last panel on a published package, or the last package on a quote tool — there is no Continue, and the reason is listed so you can fix it first.

Quotes and proposals use the same address card as contacts. Setting the address and the pin on a quote or a proposal recipient now looks and behaves the same as it does on a contact, and the bin clears the address and its pin together.

Midsummer price sync moved to its connector. The automatic price synchronisation toggle now sits with your Midsummer Wholesale login under Connectors, rather than on the Hardware Catalogue page. Syncing itself is unchanged.

Three labels now match the rest of the product. The Web Apps card, the app list when you add a custom URL, and the configuration page heading all say Proposals App, matching the sidebar. The Extras picker says Pick from your Extras. The Customer-Facing Email Settings toggle has its missing apostrophe: Use team members' own email address by default.

Fixed

The Savings step no longer fails on some heat pump quotes. Where an electricity tariff had been saved through the portal since the interface was rebuilt, its standing charge and unit rate were stored as text rather than as numbers, and your customer met an error when they reached Savings in the Heat Pump Quote Tool. Tariffs save as numbers again, and the savings calculation copes with a tariff stored either way.

Turning off an override price reverts to the calculated price. Clearing Override price on a package in the quote editor left Override price amount (£) behind, so the package kept its overridden price after you saved. Turning the toggle off now clears the amount, and a quote still carrying an amount from before ignores it.

Two people can work in the Hardware Catalogue at once. Saving a single product used to save the whole catalogue as it looked when you opened the page, so if a colleague had it open and saved after you, their copy replaced your changes. Each product is now stored and saved on its own, and only the product you edited is written.

Package checkboxes stay ticked when you create a proposal from a quote. Under Connections on a quote, Create proposal opened a window where ticking a package cleared it again immediately, so you could not get as far as creating anything. They stay ticked.

Number fields no longer reformat while you type. In fields that display two decimal places, typing
9
jumped straight to
9.00
and moved the cursor, which made an APR or a unit rate close to impossible to enter. Your typing is now left alone until you leave the field, and formatting is applied then. This affects finance option APR and interest rates, Commercial Solar Quote Tool defaults, heat pump savings assumptions, Extras pricing, and the unit rate and standing charge your customers enter in the Solar Quote Tool.

The solar roof editor opens zoomed to your drawn roofs, keeps the draw tools on screen, and now supports undo, redo, and arrow-key nudging.

Designing a roof layout in the Solar Quote Tool and Commercial Solar Quote Tool takes fewer clicks and is easier to correct. The editor now opens zoomed to the roofs you have drawn, the draw tools stay on screen while something is selected, and you can undo a mistake instead of redrawing.

New

Undo and Redo, under the satellite toggle, or with Cmd/Ctrl+Z. Undo steps back through committed edits such as drawing a roof. Changing the satellite image is not an undo step. Undo history lasts for the session; saving the design is unaffected.

Arrow keys nudge a selection 100 mm north, south, east, or west. This works on roofs, obstructions, and multi-selections, and a roof moves together with its panels and obstructions. Arrow keys do nothing while you are mid-draw. With a single panel selected, arrow keys still add a neighbouring panel as before.

A prompt to fill a roof you have just drawn. Finish drawing and you are asked whether to auto-fill it with panels. Answer no and the empty roof stays selected.

Improved

The view starts on your roofs. Opening the editor, and Reset View, zooms to your drawn roofs first, then to pitch hints, then to the property boundary. A single commercial bay now fills the canvas instead of sitting small in a wide map.

The draw tools stay visible. Selecting a roof, panel, or obstruction adds its actions to the menu rather than replacing it, so Draw Roof, Draw Obstruction, and auto-fill remain one tap away. There is no longer a Go Back step.

Panel actions are grouped. Add, clear, and auto-fill sit together under Panel Actions. In Standard mode with a single roof, they are available without selecting the roof first.

Air con, battery, heat pump and boiler quote tools and Quote Launchpad widgets now decline out-of-area addresses, the labels popup stays on screen, and Prepared by can be changed on a proposal cover again.

The coverage areas you draw in Business Details now apply to every quote tool, not just solar, so an address outside your area is declined at the address step before a quote starts. Alongside that, the labels popup stays on screen on a narrow window, the date range picker on your Dashboard fits two calendars, and you can change who a proposal is prepared by again.

Improved

Label badges are a consistent size and style wherever they appear in your listings.

Fixed

Coverage areas apply to every quote tool. The Air Con Quote Tool, Battery Quote Tool, Heat Pump Quote Tool, Boiler Quote Tool and Quote Launchpad widgets now decline an address that falls outside your coverage areas, matching the Solar Quote Tool. If you have not drawn a coverage area, every address is still accepted.

The labels popup stays on screen. Applying labels from a quotes or proposals listing no longer pushes the popup off to the right on a tablet or phone, so Apply stays reachable.

The date range picker on your Dashboard fits two calendars. It is wider, sits near the top of the screen, and no longer jumps as you move between months.

Prepared by can be changed on a proposal cover again. The bin icon on the chosen team member's card removes them so you can pick someone else, instead of opening their profile. Clicking the card itself still opens the profile. The same fix applies to the other cards you pick in the proposal editor, such as a customer, a package or a template.

Savings and CO₂ ranges on a proposal built from a Spruce Eco survey now use the MCS seasonal performance factor as well as the manufacturer's, and the headline CO₂ percentage matches the tonnes beside it.

If you build heat pump proposals from a Spruce Eco survey, the savings and CO₂ figures your customer reads are now worked out across both efficiency assumptions the survey itself uses: the manufacturer's seasonal efficiency and the MCS seasonal performance factor at your design flow temperature. The cautious end of each range is more cautious than it was.

Fixed

Savings and CO₂ ranges include the MCS seasonal performance factor. They previously used the manufacturer's figures alone, which made the low end of each range more optimistic than the survey's own numbers. Both the annual bill saving range and the CO₂ tonne range change as a result.

The headline CO₂ reduction percentage matches the tonnes beside it. In the running costs section, the percentage and the tonne figure now both come from the cautious end of the range, rather than pairing an optimistic percentage with a cautious tonnage. The summary still shows the full range.

Oil, LPG, coal and biomass prices convert at full precision. The price per litre or per kilogram is turned into a pence-per-kWh rate without being rounded first, so the current running cost the heat pump is compared against is slightly more accurate.

Number fields in the Pricing Calculator no longer stretch across the panel, block controls sit together beside the block name, and the add and edit block windows in a proposal are wider.

Editing a pricing model under Pricing Models is easier to read. The controls for expanding and deleting a block sit together beside the block name, and the number fields in the Pricing Calculator are sized to their values instead of stretching the width of the panel. Adding and editing a block in a proposal now happens in a wider window.

Improved

Block controls sit together. Expand, collapse and delete are in a row next to the block name, styled to match the reorder arrows, instead of a bin icon floating in the corner of the block.

More room to add and edit proposal blocks. The Add block and Edit block windows in the proposal editor are wider, so a block's settings have more space.
