In-Person selling, residential battery v2, and animated savings charts
In-Person opens from the Installer Portal sidebar in a new tab so you can find a contact, open their quote types, and run the same quote tools in a focused layout without the main sidebar. Add and edit contact addresses with the same address card used elsewhere: multiple addresses, a clear primary, and lookup or manual entry where your account allows it. Contact breadcrumbs show the person’s name instead of an internal id.
The Residential Battery Quote Tool uses the new step-by-step journey for every account. Your customer sees tariff and battery-size recommendations, clearer electricity bill and tariff steps, and illustrative “why a battery” examples before they choose a package. Solar, commercial solar, and battery savings sections can play through a typical day with animated energy flows. AI helpers that analyse text or files in the Installer Portal work again after a model update.
New
- In-Person — From the sidebar, open In-Person in a new tab to search or create a contact, open their hub, pick a quote type, and create or edit quotes with the same editors as hosted quote tools. Breadcrumbs stay inside the flow until you return to the main portal.
- Residential Battery Quote Tool — Recommendations step — After the electricity bill step, your customer gets a recommended battery size and future tariff with an estimated annual saving, a short explanation of how it was calculated, and an optional comparison of the top tariffs. They confirm this step before choosing hardware packages. The printable quote includes a Recommendations page.
- Why a battery — When a recommendation is ready, an illustrative section above Recommendations explains self-consumption and/or charging on cheap rates, without using your customer’s exact figures.
- Typical-day energy flow playback — On residential solar, commercial solar, and residential battery savings (and battery before/after proposal blocks), Where your energy comes from can play half-hour by half-hour through a typical day, with sunrise and sunset, tariff bands where relevant, and battery charge when a battery is in the quote. Playback is for on-screen quotes only, not PDFs or printouts.
Improved
- Contact addresses — On Add contact and Edit contact, addresses use the shared address card: add several addresses, set which is primary, and remove a row. Primary controls sit below the card when you have more than one address.
- Contact breadcrumbs — Contact detail and In-Person routes show the contact’s name (and email where shown) in breadcrumbs instead of an internal reference.
- Residential Battery Quote Tool — bill and tariff steps — Electricity bill and your new tariff steps follow the same patterns as solar quotes, including stacked layouts on small screens and a half-hour editor for time-of-use bands with a preview chart.
- Residential Battery Quote Tool — choose step — The backup gateway preference is removed; the full package list is shown with storage and sort controls only.
- Residential Battery Quote Tool — rollout — Turn the new journey on or off from Overview → Residential battery quote on each Web App; the old environment switch is no longer used.
- Recommendations card — The previous table layout is replaced by a clear headline recommendation, a one-line modelling summary, and an expandable top-five tariff comparison with saving bars.
- Savings charts — Before- and after-solar typical-day bar charts on the same page both render correctly again.
Fixed
- AI analyse actions in the Installer Portal — Extract BOM from text, hardware AI import, bulk pricing AI import, Open Solar copy assist, and package auto-generate succeed again instead of returning a model error.
